BRAVA Energia, one of Brazil's leading independent oil and gas companies, has stood out for its innovative initiatives and strategic projects in the energy sector.

One of the biggest highlights was the first oil of the Atlanta FPSO, part of Atlanta's definitive production system. In operation since 31 December 2024, it is the first project to be developed entirely by an independent oil company in Brazil. With investment surpassing US$1bn, the FPSO has the capacity to produce up to 50,000 barrels/day of oil and store 1.6 million barrels, representing a significant advance in oil exploration in the country.

BRAVA Energia also recently resumed production at the Papa-Terra field in the Campos Basin. Operations were restarted, bringing improvements to the maintenance and integrity processes of the production units, focusing on optimising the use of the reservoir and on expanding future production. The company has also invested in advanced technologies to increase the efficiency of onshore fields, especially in the Potiguar and Recôncavo basins. 

In 2025, BRAVA Energia plans to implement pilot projects in the Potiguar Basin, using new technologies to increase the recovery factor of mature fields in Rio Grande do Norte. Concessions such as Canto do Amaro, Alto do Rodrigues, Estreito, Macau and Areia Branca are potential candidates for the revitalisation effort.

With over 50 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, Ventura Offshore stands out as a global reference in offshore drilling. The company was granted exclusive rights by ElDorado Drilling to market and operate the drillship Atlantic Zonda. This seventh-generation rig, equipped with dual-activity technology and MPD drilling capabilities, is the most advanced currently operating in Brazilian waters.

In addition, Ventura owns important assets, such as the DS Carolina drillship and the Victoria semi-submarine platform. By the end of last year, Ventura had secured a long-term contract to provide the Carolina ultra-deepwater (UDW) drillship for the development of the Atapu and Sépia fields. The DS Carolina is expected to operate under this contract for approximately 2.5 years during its firm term, or 3.5 years assuming the extension option is exercised. This rig, capable of operating in water depths of up to 3,000 metres and drilling to depths of up to 12,192 metres, is currently on lease with Petrobras until Q2 2026. The company also took over the management of the Zonda drillship and the Catarina semi-submersible platform, both contracted by Petrobras.
