Dr Nida Chenagtsang é médico tradicional tibetano e detentor da linhagem do Yuthok Nyingthig, a tradição espiritual única da Medicina Tibeana (Sowa Rigpa).

Nascido em Amdo, Tibete, Dr. Nida iniciou os estudos em Sowa Rigpa no hospital local de Medicina Tibeana. Mais tarde, recebeu uma bolsa para a Universidade Médica Tibetana de Lhasa onde concluiu os estudos em 1996.

Recebeu ensinamentos do Budismo Vajrayana com professores de todas as linhagens, em especial no Longchen Nyingthig da escola Nyingma com sua professora raiz Ani Ngawang Gyaltsen e na linhagem Dudjom Tersar de Chönyid Rinpoche e Sremo Dechen Yudron. 

Recebeu os ensinamentos completos do Yuthok Nyingthig de seus professores Khenpo Tsultrim Gyaltsen e Khenchen Troru Tsenam, e Jamyang Rinpoche, da tradição dos ngakpas (yogis não monásticos) pediu que desse continuidade à linhagem. Assim surgiram a SKY, Sorig Khang International, da qual é diretor, o Instituto Internacional Ngak Mang de preservação da cultura dos ngakpas da região de Rebkong, além do Sowa Rigpa Institute: Escola de Medicina Tradicional Tibetana.

Poeta conhecido na juventude, Dr. Nida publicou vários artigos e livros sobre sowa rigpa e o ciclo Yuthok Nyingthig em tibetano e inglês, traduzidos para vários idiomas. Pesquisa extensivamente os antigos métodos terapêuticos do Tibete e é aclamado no Oriente e no Ocidente por ter revivido terapias externas tradicionais tibetanas pouco conhecidas. Com seu jeito espirituoso e contemporâneo, Dr. Nida dá cursos em mais de 40 países em todo o mundo e esta será sua primeira visita ao Brasil, ocasião em que também consagrará o centro Yuthok Ling, em Itaipava-RJ.

A “Essência do Coração de Yuthok” é um conjunto único e abrangente de práticas do Budismo Vajrayana transmitidas por Yuthok Yönten Gönpo, o Jovem, médico tibetano e adepto da meditação, nascido no século XII, que é considerado uma emanação do Buda da Medicina. É um sistema completo de práticas vindas dos ensinamentos do Anuttarayogatantra (Yoga Tantra Supremo), começando com o Ngöndro (as preliminares), progredindo para práticas do Estágio de Criação e Completude, como Guru Yogas e as 6 Yogas, até às práticas mais elevadas do Mahamudra e Dzogchen.

A tradição inclui métodos essenciais e concisos perfeitamente adequados a praticantes ocupados contemporâneos que oferecem tanto benefícios mundanos como boa saúde e longevidade como o benefício supremo da completa liberação espiritual. O Yuthok Nyingthig é a principal tradição espiritual conectada ao Sowa Rigpa e contém práticas para aprimoramento das habilidades médicas, sendo o único ciclo completo  de ensinamentos Vajrayana onde o Buda da Medicina é um yidam (deidade meditativa pessoal).

Acomodações, alimentação e transporte 

O Centro Yuthok Ling se localiza em Itaipava-RJ, a cerca de 1h40 do Rio de Janeiro. Ofereceremos, de forma opcional, acomodações na Aldeia Akasha (vizinha do centro), local integrado à natureza com cachoeira, piscina natural, sauna herbária e quartos e bangalôs em meio à mata atlântica.

As refeições serão no refeitório da Aldeia Akasha, com alimentação natural, com hortaliças de sua agrofloresta, tendo opções veganas. As refeições estão inclusas no valor das inscrições (mesmo para quem optar por não se hospedar) com jantar na sexta; café da manhã, almoço e jantar no sábado; e café da manhã e almoço no domingo.

Pode-se ir facilmente caminhando do local das acomodações até o centro Yuthok Ling.

Caso opte por não se hospedar na Aldeia Akasha, existem pousadas na região do Vale do Cuiabá e em Itaipava, porém recomendamos providenciar transporte próprio.

Yuthok Nyingthig Initiation/Empowerment, La Hooking and Consecration Ceremony of the Yuthok Ling Center in Itaipava - RJ with Dr. Nida Chenagtsang

On this special weekend of practices, we will be celebrating a Consecration Ceremony of the Yuthok Ling Center, bringing blessings and protection to the place and to all those present, thus beginning the activities of Master Yuthok's house in the mountains of Rio de Janeiro.

After the initial rituals, Dr. Nida Chenagtsang will offer initiations into the Yuthok Nyingthig cycle of practices, through Loong (reading of sacred texts), Tri (explanation) and Wang (empowerment ritual). During the initiation, the practitioner takes refuge and connects with the lineage in order to receive blessings to follow the path and receive the fruits of tantric practices.

The "La Hooking" ritual will also be performed, to bring back the vital energy - "La".

Dr Nida Chenagtsang is a traditional Tibetan physician and lineage holder of Yuthok Nyingthig, the unique spiritual tradition of Tibetan Medicine (Sowa Rigpa).

Born in Amdo, Tibet, Dr. Nida began his Sowa Rigpa studies at the local Tibetan Medicine Hospital. He later received a scholarship to the Tibetan Medical University in Lhasa where he completed his studies in 1996.

He has received teachings in Vajrayana Buddhism from teachers of all lineages, especially the Longchen Nyingthig of the Nyingma school with his root teacher Ani Ngawang Gyaltsen and the Dudjom Tersar lineage of Chönyid Rinpoche and Sremo Dechen Yudron.

He received the complete teachings of the Yuthok Nyingthig from his teachers Khenpo Tsultrim Gyaltsen and Khenchen Troru Tsenam, and Jamyang Rinpoche, of the ngakpa (non-monastic yogi) tradition, asked him to continue the lineage. Thus came into being SKY, Sorig Khang International, of which he is director, the Ngak Mang International Institute for the preservation of the ngakpa culture of the Rebkong region, and the Sowa Rigpa Institute: School of Traditional Tibetan Medicine. A well-known poet in his youth, Dr. Nida has published numerous articles and books on sowa rigpa and the Yuthok Nyingthig cycle in Tibetan and English, which have been translated into several languages. He has extensively researched the ancient healing methods of Tibet and is acclaimed in both East and West for reviving little-known traditional Tibetan external therapies. With his witty and contemporary style, Dr. Nida teaches courses in more than 40 countries around the world and this will be his first visit to Brazil, when he will also dedicate the Yuthok Ling center in Itaipava-RJ.

The “Heart Essence of Yuthok” is a unique and comprehensive set of Vajrayana Buddhist practices transmitted by Yuthok Yönten Gönpo the Younger, a Tibetan physician and meditation expert born in the 12th century who is considered an emanation of the Medicine Buddha. It is a complete system of practices drawn from the teachings of Anuttarayogatantra (Highest Yoga Tantra), beginning with Ngöndro (the preliminaries), progressing through the Creation and Completion Stage practices such as Guru Yogas and the 6 Yogas, and on to the highest practices of Mahamudra and Dzogchen.

The tradition includes essential and concise methods perfectly suited to contemporary busy practitioners that offer both worldly benefits such as good health and longevity and the ultimate benefit of complete spiritual liberation. Yuthok Nyingthig is the main spiritual tradition connected to Sowa Rigpa and contains practices for improving medical skills, and is the only complete cycle of Vajrayana teachings where the Medicine Buddha is a yidam (personal meditative deity).

Accommodation, food and transportation

The Yuthok Ling Center is located in Itaipava-RJ, about 1h40 from Rio de Janeiro. We will offer optional accommodations at Aldeia Akasha (neighboring the center), a place integrated with nature with a waterfall, natural pool, herbal sauna and rooms and bungalows in the middle of the Atlantic Forest.

Meals will be served in the Aldeia Akasha cafeteria, with natural food, with vegetables from its agroforest, and with vegan options. Meals are included in the registration fee (even for those who choose not to stay at the center), with dinner on Friday; breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday; and breakfast and lunch on Sunday.

You can easily walk from the accommodations to the Yuthok Ling Center.

If you choose not to stay at Aldeia Akasha, there are inns in the Cuiabá Valley region and in Itaipava, but we recommend arranging your own transportation.
