PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
• Participants and coaches must be member of a National Taekwondo Federation, affiliated to the WTF
• Participants and coaches must be holder of the nationality of the participating team
• Kukkiwon 1 st Dan for all competitors
• WTF Global Athlete Licence (GAL) for all officials and competitors

The competition regulations will be based on those established by WTF.

Seniors: Born in 1997 or before.

Senior female -46, -49, -53, -57, -62, -67, -73, over 73 kg
CONTEST TIME
2 minutes x 3 rounds with 1 minute break
The organization committee and WTF Technical Delegate can decide to adjust the competition
WTF GLOBAL LICENCE & ONLINE REGISTRATION
• WTF Global Licence Registration
1) All Athletes and Team officials must FIRST be registered with a WTF Global Athlete Licence (GAL) or Global Official Licence (GOL). It is NOT possible to register ON SITE for a WTF Licence!
2) The WTF licence is the responsibility of all participants (competitors and officials) participating at the XVII Open Cidade Maravilhosa de Taekwondo –Internacional and must be registered and approved through their respective WTF Member National Association at least 1 month before the tournament it is required for.
• WTF Online Registration
3) Entries will only be accepted through the WTF registration system and registration is only possible with a valid WTF Global Licence. National Team GMS administrators will be notified via email once online registration is open.
ENTRY FEES
USD$ 100 per athlete registration
USD$ 300.00 Fee for coaches without PATU certification
Free of charge for coaches with PATU’s certification
All entry fees from individual athletes and for participating national teams will be paid by credit card through the online registration system.
Male and Female Divisions’ contestants quantity respectively is not limited unless the general number of 600 participants is reached.
1) REGULAR ENTRY FEE
• Regular entry fee period will begin on 17th August 2015. • Regular entry fee period will end on 18th September 2015.
• At the close of regular registration of September 18th, if the Organizing Committee decides to implement an extension of the Registration Period, the following late registration dates and fees will apply:
2) LATE REGISTRATION FEES
• In the case that a late registration period is required the participants completing their registration during this period will be charged this fee: USD$ 200 per athlete
• Late registration fee period can begin on 19th September 2015.
• Late registration period will end (if implemented) on 25th September 2015.
• LATE REGISTRATION PERIOD ONLY APPLIES IF THE OC DECIDES TO IMPLEMENT.
ENTRY DEADLINES & IMPORTANT DATES
1) Entry deadline is 18th September 2015. Entry submission after this date will be not accepted under any circumstances. Late replacement due to injury shall be handled case by case, unless the OC decides to implement a late registration period.
2) The registered athletes or team officials may be replaced without any penalty until 18th September 2015.
3) Entry fee of USD$ 100 per athlete will not be charged in case of cancellation of participation until 18th September 2015.
4) Entry fee must be paid in case of the cancellation of participating athletes after 18th September 2015 or noshow.
5) USD$ 150 will be charged per team official in case of onsite registration without prior entry submission until 18th September 2015. Any changes or additions that are made to a registration 18th September 2015 will be charged a USD$ 150 penalty in addition to the registration fees. This penalty will be considered the onsite fee for approved additions or changes to the national team list.

AWARD PRESENTATION:
Individual awards:
• 1st place: gold medal
• 2nd place: silver medal
• Two 3rd places: bronze medal
LIABILITY
All competitors are considered to participate at their own risk. The OC assume no responsibility for any damages, injuries or losses. All contestants must bring their own documents and forms for any medical treatment in Brazil.
SPORT EQUIPMENT:
• The Organizing Committee will provide the Daedo electronic chest protector system for all participating athletes. However all athletes must bring their own electronic socks for combats.
• Groin guard, forearm, shin guard, recognized by the WTF and mouthpiece shall be carried by the participants for personal use. The mouthpiece must be clear or white.
• All participating athletes shall wear the WTF recognized Taekwondo uniform (Dobok)in good condition, with V-neck black collar .
• Patches, embroidery, logos, team names, country, Athlete’s name and stripes are allowed on the uniform, but no tape is permitted in any part of the uniform. Patches, needlework, logos, team names, countries names, athlete’s name and stripes will be allowed on uniforms. No tape is allowed in any part of the uniform.
PROTECTIVE GEAR:
• All participating athletes must wear authorized protective gear, including headgear, blue for Chung and red for Hong, groin, shin and mouth guards, hand and foot gear, etc. before entering the competition area.
• Protective gear for groin, leg and arm areas must be worn underneath the uniform. Only protective headgear will be permitted to be worn on the head, unless otherwise approved. Religious or cultural items will have to be approved by the technical committee prior to competition. Articles must be worn under the headgear and dobok and cannot be of threat to opponent.
WEIGH-IN
• Weigh-in of the contestants on the day of competition shall be completed on the previous day of the pertinent competition.
• During weigh-in, the male contestant shall wear underpants and the female contestant shall wear underpants and a brassiere. However, weigh-in may be conducted in the nude if the contestant wishes to do so.
• Weigh-in shall be made once, however, one more weigh-in is granted within the time limit to any contestant who did not qualify the first time.
• For the weighing it is need to present: EVENT CREDENTIAL AND PASSPORT OR NATIONAL IDENTITY DOCUMENT.
DRAW
All The method and order of the draw may be modified depending on the decision of the Technical Delegate.
DOPING CONTROL
Use of drugs or doping by any chemical substances described in the WTF Regulation for Doping Control is strictly prohibited. Access WADA web site for further information.
INTERNATIONAL SPARRING REFEREES
1) Required number of International Referees will be invited and then appointed by the PATU,
2) Round trip airfare will be borne by each International Referee appointed,
3) Three (3 nights) accommodation with breakfast will be covered by OC,
check-in: Thursday 8th October, 2015
check-out: Sunday 11th October, 2015
4) Referee training and meetings will be advised via the schedule
5) The OC will provide each International Referee $ 100.00 per diem for 3 days of competition.
TRANSPORTATION AND LODGING:
Transportation and accommodation charges are the responsibility of the participants.

Accommodation charges for room and boarding of the competitors and team officials shall be borne by themselves. There is a wide range of Accommodation styles and prices available for your stay in Rio de Janeiro. A city that offers the widest choice of accommodation and is close to the competition venue.

TRANSPORTATION:
• Ground transportation will not be provided for Participants by the OC. The competition venue is in close proximity to the airports of Rio de Janeiro with various forms of public transport available.
• Ground transportation will be provided for all Appointed International referees on arrival and departure by the Organizing Committee and only if the Organizing Committee has been informed of the Appointed International referees schedule (date, time, flight) in advance and by no later than Sunday 18th September, and only if the appointed International Referees stay at hotel accommodation provided by the Organising Committee.
ADMISSION
The “Fortaleza de São João” is a free admission venue.
VISAS
The Organizing Committee can provide invitation letters for visa applications. MNA’s are required to check the entry visa application waiting times in their own countries and submit requests for invitation letters to the Organizing Committee. MNA’s are requested to request visa application invitation from the OC with passport copies of all team members at least two weeks before the waiting time deadline in their own country.
